Accessibility statement for Erigo Learning
This accessibility statement applies to Erigo Learning, a digital learning platform (LMS) used by Swedish municipalities and government agencies. Erigo Learning is operated by Erigo AB.
We want as many people as possible to be able to use the service, regardless of ability. Here we describe how Erigo Learning complies with the Swedish Act on accessibility to digital public services (DOS-lagen), which accessibility issues are known, and how you can report shortcomings so that we can fix them.
How accessible is the service?
Content that is not accessible
The content below is not fully accessible and does not fall under the legal exemption for disproportionate burden, unless stated otherwise.
Known shortcomings (WCAG 2.1 AA)
-
PDF files uploaded by course ownersMay lack structure tags and alternative text, which makes them harder to use with a screen reader.Criteria affected: 1.1.1 (Non-text content), 1.3.1 (Info and relationships).
-
Third-party video playersPlayers such as YouTube and Vimeo follow their providers' own accessibility practices and are partly outside our direct control.Criteria affected: 1.2.2 (Captions), 1.2.3 (Audio description or media alternative).
-
Older course material in HTML formatMay contain elements with insufficient colour contrast or missing ARIA labels. We are fixing this continuously.Criteria affected: 1.4.3 (Contrast — minimum), 4.1.2 (Name, role, value).
Disproportionate burden
User-generated content uploaded by course owners or participants (such as documents and presentations) is not reviewed automatically by Erigo AB. Making all historical content accessible retroactively is considered a disproportionate burden under section 12 of DOS-lagen. We give course owners guidelines and tools for creating accessible material.
Report accessibility shortcomings
We are always working to improve accessibility. If you experience problems that are not described on this page, or if you think we do not meet the requirements of the law, please let us know.
